Fellows in ASPIRE will complete a flexible 48-54 month program compromised of rigorous ACGME-accredited fellowships in Pulmonary & Critical Care and Sleep Medicine as well as fully-funded research training.

Specifically, the program would include: 12 months of pulmonary, 6 months of critical care, 12 months of sleep medicine, & 18-24 months of research training. Fellows will have some flexibility in the timing of research and clinical sleep training at each institution. Furthermore, depending on one's research interests, trainees may have the opportunity to complete research training at a partner site.

Fellows will be provided a stipend of $10,000 per year in their research years and $3000 per year in the clinical years, which could be used for research or education. Funding will be administered through the ATS Foundation.
